Professional Skills Workshop to Strengthen College Application

The Program Tutoring is proud to partner with AMP Recruiting Solutions to provide a professional skills workshop for high school students.  Research shows that having some work experience during high school enhances a college resumé/application as it demonstrates real-world skills, responsibility, maturity and work ethic. Our students have great grades, wonderful activities, hours of volunteer work, yet in recent years these alone don't always guarantee acceptance into the desired college. Along with the above key elements, work experience can set the student apart from other applicants with similar grades & accomplishments. High School students don't need a full time job, but College Admissions do like seeing a summer internship or part-time job as a part of their profile.

 

Start the Launch is a 3-part workshop for 10th-12th students designed to equip them with essential skills in Resumé writing, Networking and Interviewing.   These foundational skills are crucial for securing part-time jobs or internships and will serve as valuable strengths throughout their future careers.
